This structure is commonly used by groups in alternative healthcare, food freedom movements, faith communities, and educational collectives who seek to operate independently of typical state and federal regulatory frameworks.

Corporations, LLCs, and other state-registered entities operate within the public domain and function under state permission and regulatory oversight.

Private associations and trusts operate in the private domain and do not require state permission to exist, as they function under private contract among consenting members.
